Priorities and Goals
Priority #1: Prepare and sustain a competent nursing workforce to achieve health equity
- Implement competency-based education to prepare practice ready nurse leaders
- Build adaptive, accessible, physical, and virtual learning spaces
- Expand IPE experiences with diverse populations
- Align program offerings to meet anticipated workforce needs
Priority #2: Cultivate an inclusive SON community reflecting the populations we serve to promote health and well-being
- Strengthen and maintain an infrastructure to support a restorative and equitable environment for faculty, staff, and students
- Recruit and retain excellent diverse faculty, staff, and student leaders, who reflect the communities we serve
- Establish a comprehensive system to promote success in all students
Priority #3: Strengthen mutually beneficial local to global partnerships for transforming health care
